Do you tutor students under the age of 13?
No. In accord with our mission, and in compliance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), our website and services are solely intended for, and available to, individuals 13 years of age and older (16 years of age and older outside of the U.S.).
Can I (legal parent/guardian/organization) attend Online Tutoring?
Yes. The legal parent/guardian/organization is welcome to attend, provided they adhere to our Terms and Conditions, Privacy Policy, and Code of Conduct.
What platform do you use to tutor?
Google Meet.
Do you send me a recording of the Online Tutoring?
No. Various domestic and international legislation, such as COPPA, CCPA, and GDPR, prohibit companies from retaining and/or distributing digital assets featuring minors. Though we actively encourage students to download and keep the Jamboards (whiteboards) containing work done during the tutoring session, it is strictly prohibited to separately photograph, screenshot, or otherwise record, capture or reproduce any portion of our services rendered without our express written consent. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
Do you assume custody of my student when providing its services?
No. We do not assume custody of, or liability for, any legal minor and/or student before, during, or after any private tutoring session. The legal parent/guardian/organization always, and without exception, remains in full custody of the student during all interactions with our tutors. For more information, please see our Terms and Conditions.
Do you help with essays?
Yes. We help show students how to employ the essay structure they are being taught by their primary teacher. We help students understand how to meaningfully compose written works within this structure, as well as outside this structure when appropriate.
*This entails a longer duration of time, and we strongly recommend booking at least 5 Hours for a comprehensive amount of help for any substantial essay, or pair of smaller essays.
Do you grade assignments?
No. Grading assignments is for the primary teacher of your student. We are here to help develop the concepts and academic foundations critical to achieving higher grades over the long-term.
Do you guarantee better grades?
No. We have an excellent track record, but we do not make claims for any student regarding their academic performance, grade, and/or score for any assignment, test, and/or overall class.
Do you provide correct answers to assignments or tests before they are due?
No. We collaborate through assignments and test preparation by leading the student to discover the correct answers on their own. We can only review correct answers once the assignment or test is already graded and entered by the primary teacher of the student.
Do you tutor Science, History, and Electives?
Yes, but as an auxiliary to our core service: Math and English. In essence, we tutor these subjects as part of a larger comprehensive effort to help a given student navigate and address their workload as a whole.
Are your tutors licensed professionals?
No. Our tutors are not officially certified or licensed to be Academic Advisors, Behavior Specialists, Consultants, Counselors, Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Teachers, Therapists, or any other profession. Recommendations, suggestions, and/or any statements made by our tutors are solely and exclusively at the discretion of the legal parent/guardian/organization, and never to be construed as professional or legal advice.
Can you guarantee availability for my student?
Once you fill out an application, we can determine if mutually-available time slots exist. If your availability does not align with ours, the onboarding process halts without any invoices sent or payments made. We do our best to accommodate you in many ways, including:
Working together via phone and email to schedule a mutually-available time slot.
Putting you “On Call" for the possibility that a previously occupied time slot becomes available.
Putting you on our “Wait List” until suitable accommodations may be made.
Are you WASC accredited?
No. We are not a school, but simply an academic resource.
Do you offer in-person tutoring or billing?
No. All tutoring occurs Online, and all billing and payments occur Online.
Are you a government organization?
No. We are a private business.
Are you hiring?
Not at the moment (2023).
If I purchase Tutoring services, will they ever expire?
Yes, all Tutoring services purchased in 2023 will expire at the end of next year, December 31, 2024.
