Refund and Cancelation Policy

Please read this Refund and Cancelation Policy before Ordering any Service from Us.



Definitions


The words in which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.


Company

“The Company," "We," "Us" or "Our" in this Cookies Policy refers to PolySay - the Apartment of Education parent Company.


Orders

Your purchase of Services from Us.


Refund and Cancelation Policy (also referred as "Refund," “Cancelation,” or “Agreement”)

This Refund and Cancelation Policy, which forms a portion of the entire Agreement between You and the Company regarding the use of the Service (the other portions including Our Cookies Policy, Our Terms and Conditions, Our Privacy Policy, and our Code of Conduct).


Service

Our Website, including items offered for sale on Our Website by the Company even when ultimately taking place on other websites; e.g. Private Tutoring Sessions on https://meet.google.com.


Website

Refers to https://www.apartmentofeducation.com.


You

Refers to the “Individual,” “Student,” “User” or “Visitor” accessing or using the Website or Service, as applicable, or the company, organization, person, or other legal entity on behalf of which such Individual is accessing or using the Service.



Order Rescheduling


If You would like to Reschedule an Ordered Service to be rendered, no refunds or extra fees apply.



Order Cancelation


Any Service you purchase from Us can only be Canceled in accordance with this Refund Policy, along with Our Terms and Conditions. You hereby waive any right to Cancel an Order for Services if the performance of the Service has begun with Your prior express consent, and You have therein acknowledged Your loss of Cancelation right.


One-Time Private Tutoring Sessions

If you would like to Cancel a One-Time Private Tutoring Session, please send an informal Order Cancelation email notification to info@apartmentofeducation.com no less than 1 hour before the start time of the respective Service Ordered is scheduled to be rendered. We will issue You a full Refund.


Recurring Private Tutoring Packages

If you would like to Cancel a Recurring Private Tutoring Package, please send an informal Order Cancelation email notification to info@apartmentofeducation.com no less than 1 hour before the start time of any respective Service Ordered within the Package is scheduled to be rendered. We will refund Your remaining unused Session Hours as an equal function of Your entire purchase less Services already rendered within said Package less a $50 fee We charge for Recurring Private Tutoring Package Cancelations, regardless what party instigates Cancelation of said Package, and regardless how many Hours have already been Serviced within said Package.


Company Right to Cancel Your Order

We reserve the right to Cancel Your Order at any time and for reasons which may include but are not limited to:

(i) Service availability, or

(ii) Errors in the description or prices for Services, or

(iii) Errors in Your Order, or

(iv) Suspected fraud or unauthorized or illegal transactions, or

(v) Single, or repeated, violations of Our Code of Conduct, or

(vi) Student failure to attend a 1-Hour Service within the first 15 minutes, or

(vii) Student failure to attend a 2-Hour Service within the first 30 minutes, or

(viii) Parent/guardian failure to prepay for any Session or Package at least 24 Hours before the scheduled start time.

*Regarding any and all scenarios outlined above, and in addition to possibly Canceling the Service to You, We may subsequently send You an email outlining potential disciplinary action including, but not limited to, denying any future Services to You.


Refunds


Full Refund: One-Time Private Tutoring Sessions Only

In addition to Refunds for Cancelations (see above), the following scenarios render a full Refund to You:


(i) At Our sole discretion; most likely as a result of technical difficulties, foreseen or unforeseen, the fault of which clearly belongs to the Company, and which cannot be resolved via real-time communications between You and Us, and which encompass the entire duration of the time slot agreed upon, thereby preventing any portion of the Order to be Serviced, and which causes You to elect the option to Cancel the Service instead of Rescheduling the Service.


Case by Case: One-Time AND Recurring Private Tutoring Sessions

It is on a case by case, basis that We decide whether to render You

1) No Refund,

OR

2) A Partial Refund, defined as a full refund of Your remaining unused Session Hours, less a standard $50 fee collected by the Company, no matter the original price or current status and standing of Your Ordered Services, based upon the following scenarios:


(i) Order Cancelation email notifications sent to Us by You within 1 hour of the start time of the Ordered Service; or not sent at all.

(ii) A single, or repeated, violation of Our Code of Conduct, which may result in immediate Cancelation of the Ordered Service.

(iii) Student failure to attend a 1-Hour Service within the first 15 minutes, or Student failure to attend a 2-Hour Service within the first 30 minutes.

(iv) Late logins, bathroom breaks, food/drink breaks, accidental or intentional logoffs, Internet outages, other technical problems, and/or Acts of God, foreseeable and unforeseeable, are normal and common within Our standard business operations and do not in any way warrant or necessitate any Refund; except if any of the aforementioned events encompass the entire duration of the time slot agreed upon and which are clearly the fault of the Company.

(v) Any scenario in which You are in violation of any Company Term or Policy.

(vi) Serial/consecutive absenteeism and/or serial/consecutive cancelation of Ordered Services, with or without providing at least 1 hour of advanced notice.

*Regarding any and all scenarios outlined above, and in addition to possibly Canceling the Service to You, We may subsequently send You an email outlining potential disciplinary action including, but not limited to, denying any future Services to You.


Refunding Your Account

If you are eligible for a full or partial Refund (see above), You will be reimbursed via the same payment provider You used to Order.


Please allow 1-2 business days for Refunds to be accepted and processed by Us, 1-2 business days for the confirmation notice to be sent to Your email address, 3-5 business days for Refunds to settle into Your bank account, and up to 14 calendar days for the entire process of Order Cancelation and Refunds settled back into your account.


Expiration Date of Ordered Services

All Services purchased in a given calendar year will expire and thus be rendered irredeemable, null, void and of no monetary or legal value whatsoever on the last date of the following calendar year. For example, a Service purchased any time from January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2022 will expire on December 31, 2023.


Prorating

We do not and will not prorate Our Services rendered to You in any way, or at any time, including in circumstances in which the entire duration of the Ordered Service is not utilized. By agreeing to receive Services from Us, You understand and agree it is always, and without exception or recourse, the sole discretion of the Company and its Tutors when Ordered Services begin and end.


Satisfactory Service

If You are not satisfied with Our Services for any reason and would like a Refund after Services have been rendered, please send an email to info@apartmentofeducation.com detailing your dissatisfaction. We reserve the right and sole discretion to determine whether or not your written claim of dissatisfaction gives Us reasonable cause to Refund You fully, partially, or not at all, including but not limited to denying future Services to You.
